Terms and Conditions of Consignment of the one providing the items 

When referring to I, We, Me, Rachael / Rach and Kayla or similar pronouns we are referring to the entity Hire Melbourne.  

Are you interested in making some of your money back on your items sitting in your wardrobe? We can help by renting out the items for you for a fee. You must be 18+ to participate. 

How does it work? 

You will provide your item to us to store in our Sunbury showroom where we will take care of the advertisement, cleaning costs, repairs and renting process of the item for you.

Minimum you will need to have your with us for two months you may not see any rentals until after this point as it takes awhile to advertise etc, after this point you are welcome to have you item sent back to you at your own expense once all hires have been completed. 

Fees
we / Hire Melbourne would receive $10 of the each hire after cleaning, shipping and other related costs have been taken out. 

Requirements 

You are liable for your own costs of getting the item to and from the Sunbury location such as shipping or dropping it off.

We are interested in newer styles sizes 4 - 16 

We will take care of all the cleaning, repairs, customer service, renting the item out and advertisement on your behalf. You will not have access or contact to who is renting your items as this is confidential. 

The Process

Have your item delivered to us and we will rent it on your behalf. When a booking comes in you will be notified by text or Instagram and your profits minus all our fees will be transferred to you. 

Please understand accidents happen, your item may show signs of wear but not limited to pulling, pilling, staining, repairs small holes and rips etc. after a client has worn it / many rentals. It’s the nature of renting and may cause natural wear and tear. If you want to keep your item immaculate maybe renting it out is not the best option. 

Items can be damaged beyond repair and are unsalvageable. We do persist for the client to pay out the dress in full or the applicable extra cleaning for staining and smells and repairs but we cannot force a client to pay this out. No compensation will be sent by us unfortunately you will have to take this as a loss

If an item is stolen we will contact the police but there is no guarantee the item will be retrieved and no compensation will be sent by us unfortunately you will have to take this as a loss. 

If an item is stolen or damaged we / Hire Melbourne DO NOT cover the costs either you or the renter who has agreed to T&C’s will need to cover the costs of your item for repairs or replacement. You will still own the item it’s just “on loan” to us for a 2 month minimum period. 

Our dry cleaning prices start from $20 and handwashing from $5, the client will be charged additional fees from their bond.

We do collect their information such as ID, bond mobile, name and address etc.

Items can be shipped anywhere in Australia and the client will need to agree to T&C’s prior to booking. That agree and enter a contract when they pay for the item. Items may be listed across multiple platforms. 

We offer affordable renting so we can negotiate the price of your rental based on how much it was brand new, how old it is, quality of the item and other related expenses. 

You give me full permission to have the items cleaned and fixed as I see fit, I cannot guanratee the item will come back in the same condition due to natural wear and tear of the item. 

You give me full permission to use the dress for advertisement including making content in the dress for free of charge. 

Contract

If you’d like to proceed you will be sent a the terms and conditions of the consignment, by saying you agree you have agreed to full T&C’s listed here under the business Hire Melbourne. 

Hire Melbourne may change the terms and conditions at anytime without notice.
